Thank you one and all for your generous support of this years Kiwanis Christmas Project. - 12/17/2015
news image

The need this year was greater than in past years as 180 children from 77 families applied for assistance. Through your generous donations of money, toys, hats, mittens and “adoption” of  kids, all the needs of these children were again met this year.

The Kiwanis Christmas Project is truly a community supported and worthwhile project and you, the residents, businesses, churches and organizations, embodied the true meaning of Christmas by giving to those less fortunate in our community. For this and so much more we are ever so thankful.

Once again, thank you all for your generous and heartfelt support of this worthwhile project.

Al Hunt, Partnership Food Pantry, Guilford, thanks 20+ volunteers who work their hearts out to provide food for families twice a month. They serve as many families as any pantry within 50 miles and more than most.

This photo shows part of the 6,000 pounds of bakery and produce just received. We'll add a couple thousand pounds of staple foods and about 130 families will each get more than 60 pounds of food. And, they'll do it again in a couple of weeks.

None of this includes the Greenville distribution, by the way, or the thousands of backpacks Kiwanis does year in and year out.
